The aspects

An aspect is the angle between two planets, and it decides whether they cooperate, argue, or merge. These five are the major aspects: the ones the charts on this site actually look for.

The orb is how far from exact an angle still counts. Ours are listed on each page, because astrologers differ and a chart drawn with wider orbs isn't wrong, only set differently.

Conjunction

Two planets in the same place, working as one thing.

Sextile

Sixty degrees: an opportunity that has to be taken up to do anything.
