Major aspect

Trine

A hundred and twenty degrees: same element, no resistance, no pressure to use it.

Angle
120°
Orb used here
±7°
Temper
usually easy, and easy to leave unused

A trine connects two planets in the same element, and they simply agree. Whatever the pair signifies comes easily enough that it is often invisible to the person who has it: a trine feels like the way things are rather than an ability.

The catch is the mirror image of the square's gift: nothing here demands development. Charts full of trines can be capable and strangely unbuilt, because talent that never met resistance never had to become skill.

Where to go next

What it joins

An aspect is what two planets do to each other, so the pair matters as much as the angle. Read both ends before reading the trine.

Its orb

This site allows ±7° either side of exact. One within a degree does far more work than one at the edge of its orb, which is why every orb is listed rather than assumed.
