A conjunction is not a relationship so much as a merger: the two bodies occupy the same degrees and stop being separable in the life. Whatever the faster planet does, it does in the colour of the slower one.
Whether that is fortunate depends entirely on who is involved. Venus conjunct Jupiter and Mars conjunct Saturn are the same geometry and nothing like the same experience. Read the pair, not the angle, and note that a conjunction has no perspective on itself, because there is no gap to see across.
