Upright
The grey fox climbs alone, lantern cradling one star. Withdraw on purpose; the answer needs quiet and a single light, not a crowd and a floodlamp.
Reversed
Solitude soured into isolation, or wisdom hoarded on the mountain while the village waits. Come down when the lantern's lit.
The Hermit, painted three times
All three decks run the same seventy-eight cards, so this one has two siblings: the same card, painted for a different world.
Yōkai TarotThe one-eyed monk climbs alone, lantern cradling a single star. Withdraw and look with the eye you actually have, not the crowd's dozen. The path is lit one step at a time.See this one →
Fill the Void TarotDeep under the bed, holding vigil, amber eyes and one glowing mote the only lights in that small cosmos. Go under the bed on purpose. The answer is not out in the room.See this one →
