Upright
Draped fully upside down over a golden crescent moon, limbs dangling into the starfield, blissful. Nothing is moving and that is the point. Hang there; the view is different from underneath.
Reversed
Stuck and calling it patience, or dangling in the hope someone will come and take you down. The pause has stopped teaching you anything.
The Hanged Cat, painted three times
All three decks run the same seventy-eight cards, so this one has two siblings: the same card, painted for a different world.
Kitsune TarotThe Hanged FoxUpside down from the torii, halo glowing: the fox stopped struggling and the world turned over instead. Yield, wait, look again: the stuck thing loosens when you do.See this one →
Yōkai TarotThe Hanged LanternThe chochin-obake hangs upside down from the torii and its light falls in a direction no upright lantern can manage. Stop struggling. The stuck view is the new view.See this one →
