Upright
Flat on her back on the humans' bed, all claws sheathed, paws folded in the air: total unguarded rest. Safe enough to stop bracing. Take the nap.
Reversed
Resting with one claw out, or so long down that getting up feels impossible. Rest ends; that's what makes it rest.
Four of Claws, painted three times
All three decks run the same seventy-eight cards, so this one has two siblings: the same card, painted for a different world.
Kitsune TarotFour of FansThe fox lies still in the temple, fans hung up, window glowing. Deliberate rest as strategy, not surrender. Sheathe the mind; let the body reset the watch.See this one →
Yōkai TarotFour of UmbrellasThe kasa-obake lies folded on the temple pallet, canopy at ease. Deliberate rest as strategy, even the watching eye closed. Furl the mind; the wind will keep.See this one →
